Okay wiseguy, that's what the AUR description says (I swear it used to mention haswell), the git page and developer say for "modern x86_64 platforms". The kernel is using clear linux patches, so it's performance optimized for intel chips. My chip is an i5 which was first released 1 year before the skylake. But nothing in the git page says, "skylake or newer", plus I can tell the performance difference because I used both kernels before.
I use a custom kernel called linux-nitrous (it's optimized for performance on haswell chipsets), they're also pretty good about staying current with the latest Arch kernel version. It has to be compiled though, which is fine, I like compiling the kernel on my machine.
Bro seriously trying to make me lose my nerd cred around here, but can't keep a working Linux system for more than a couple weeks. The Arch Linux system is six months old, that's like 10 years in Josh distro hopping time.
