Very quietly a huge precedent was set by Disney and barely anyone noticed.
There used to be only one way to buy a drink inside the main Disney parks. That was to be a member of Club 33. Club 33 membership not only required vetting by Disney, it had an up front $30k to $35k 'initiation fee', and an annual fee of $10k-$12k, depending. Disney World, the biggest park, had the higher fees.
Corporate membership fees are completely obfuscated, but are rumored to be substantially higher.
But that was then, this is now. Today anyone 21 or older can buy drink at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. This indicates a conscious pivot to catering to the 'kidult' audience.
