Didn't have "Explaining to MercurialBlack how wind works," would be on my daily list

Oh that's awesome. It is interesting how different people have different video game experiences growing up and how we have such fond memories.
I used to go to "daycare" (it was my best friends house lol his mom ran the daycare) and we played a lot of game cube and super smash bros. SO many hours spent on those games lol

@Tony @hidden @mia That sounds like a great time :) I did play on the PS1 a lot even though I didn't have one. My afterschool daycare program had one and a friend had one too. Jak and Daxter was my favorite but I also liked Crash Bandicoot.
At some point I got a PS2 and my favorite there was Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal. Almost every time I visit home, I'll play through that game again. As a kid I was kinda into Courtney Gears ngl.
Later I got a Wii and the game I remember most was one I didn't even own: Super Mario Galaxy. It just felt really comfy to explore that darkened space station and see it gradually light up. I'm a fan of "small planet" photographs too (see pic).
I've never played a final fantasy game, but I feel like I have to at some point. They're classics after all.

@Tony @hidden @mia I've never seen one in real life! As a kid I spent a lotta time watching my friends play Pokemon on their Game Boy Color / Advance / SP. The first handheld I had was a Nintendo DS, and the first Pokemon game I actually got to play was Diamond. I had a bunch of Kirby games, too, but the most unique one was Kirby Canvas Curse. Kirby has no arms or legs and you have to draw ramps for him to travel on. I had nightmares about the final boss who was named Marx. Capitalist indoctrination started early for me smh smh

My older cousin gave me an original game boy. I had paperboy on it lol.
I grew up with a bunch of different consoles. PS1 was probably what I played the most. I played FFVII like 5 times and FFVIII
Loved the final fantasy games.
the DS was cool, I played all the Pokémon games up until diamond. I remember one of the Pokémon was a squirrel with water wings and I was out lol

@Tony @hidden @mia Maybe, I don't recognize it - I must have played different ones. (I didn't have Dream Land.)
I liked to beat him as Spark Kirby, using his own medicine against you. I guess if you lost your power you had no choice but to play as Spark Kirby because those are the only enemies he makes.

Idk which one I played, but I played some Kirby games on game boy back in the day.
Did you ever see one of these?
I played Pokémon yellow on dis thing for years…

Omg is that Kirby’s dream land? Lol

I, too, have also gone to a "daycare" where my best friend's mom was paid in cash and probably never paid taxes in her life
> how we have such fond memories.
Absolutely. I am not good at video games at all, but I can honestly say they were a big part of my world during those formative years. I'm sure most people here could say the same. I'm glad we got to have those experiences. There's a reason why "80s kid / 90s kid / 00s kid" memes always focus on video games.
