this is just absurd

@Narbray "hey wanna come over?"
"sure"
"POLICE THIS IS KIDNAPPING HELP"
-
@Narbray :senko_hmmmm: There are three problems:
- She stayed there for 2 days
- She knows this older teen through an online game
- Very likely she didn't explain shit to her parents from the dad's testimony
-
@ryuuji @Narbray I'm sure the issue was that the girl didn't tell her parents clearly, but I feel like slapping the brat with an actual kidnapping charge is overkill.
-
@Immahnoob @Narbray Source article says she refused to come home. Kidnapping charge implies it was against her will, and the kid confessed. Looks open and shut to me.

@Remi @Narbray What does the source say about what the parents knew though? It doesn't really matter if my kid wants to stay in a stranger's home for whatever reason, I'm going to get her back.
-
@Remi @Narbray Do we not have a side from the parents of the teen though? It sounds absurd that no one was at home for like a whole weekend.
Honestly, if this was like the very early 2000s, I wouldn't even call this grooming. If it was a single day until very late (like 11-12 PM) and it wasn't just her and the teen, I wouldn't even bat an eye.
As a kid, we'd huddle together in other teen's or kid's houses until very late in our neighborhoods, girls or boys, didn't really matter. Of course, it wasn't responsible, but hey, whatever. :kekw:

@Immahnoob @Narbray It doesn't, but like you said it hardly matters.
I'll add that their houses are two hours apart by train. Maybe she ran away, maybe she stayed willingly, maybe she was kept against her will. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, she's still a 13 year old girl that.
Sankaku presenting this as some high school anime hijinks being shut down by the mean old adults who hate young men instead of the parties being real people and a real minor being endangered by some punk that groomed a girl online is just their editorial style.
