     @smugumin It's all the same because all the producer-writers went to CalArts and had the same instructors and all know each other and all did their internships together. Everyone went through a school that was meant to produce a certain product and this is the result.

It's the same phenomenon Miyazaki got annoyed about in that famous interview when it came to moe taking over anime, but no one got angry at him because he had the clout to criticize it.

     i feel the same way, used to be such silly fun, kid on magic adventures with his dog, but got really boring since they tried adding drama and romance. then its finn fucking LSP and getting cucked by lesbians or something.
     on the other hand, i've also been rewatching it and man even at the start the "quirky so ironic and random xD" humour did not age too well with me lol
     
     i dont really like regular show or gumball, im ESL and they kinda feel terminally american family guy humour
     
     GF is probably the least offending in wokeness but still has a lot of issues from a technical standpoint, like its pretty much all filler and very clear they didnt have a plan for the overarching mystery and just kinda winged it.

     @smugumin gravity falls is decent. the rest of these can die in a fire lol. even adventure time, it started out pretty fun and ended like fucking shit.

     this is where it's at, though. these two cartoons are cracked. i know gumball still has some calart design but only for like 4 characters and the rest of the art and the show itself makes up for that. it's fuckin funny.
