When I came to the Fediverse ~3 years ago, one of the things I was immediately impressed by is that it was a real honest to god *community*.
People put content warnings on their posts in an attempt to help people who needed it be able to choose what kind of content they'd like to see.
Because the thing with community is, it's not about YOU, it's about US.
I'm kind of sad to see that wither and die in the face of all the refugees from Twitter, but I guess it's par for the course. As any culture grows, its essential nature is diluted unless ALL of the people involve work against that.
This was my attempt at that.
I think what I will do going forward is simply start blocking people who don't use content warnings.
If we can't keep the culture going as a community, I'll keep it alive in my own little curated garden :)
