The themes and aesthetics of the Zelda universe gradually morphed from low fantasy inspired by King Arthur and LOTR to full-out Japanese feudalism and paganism.
Picrel are Link’s shield in each game as well as the real-world feudal Japanese crests that are synonymous with the style that the series ultimately adopted.
I think all Japanese media is becoming more Japanese, as the West becomes less mysterious, less enviable, and less White.

So youre saying japs dont like american culture anymore because american culture just died off years ago? Makes sense
-
@ItsSkyDragonz That’s exactly it. Japan is like this girl who thinks you’re cute because you did something Chad (won WW2, invented and used nuclear bomb, reset their social structure), but then becomes dispelled when she sees the weird hobby corner of your room (white replacement, faggotry, mass drug addiction, third wave feminism).

@natsock you know it's bad when the original dragon ball ls more respectful to the source material than Jews and lotr
-
@natsock hell even these cards are respectful to the original drawings toriyama made for journey to the west inspired db characters
-
@natsock This is also because Nintendo of America was actively censoring anything Christian in their games
