     @Mynona @Sui @burner @nugger No, it didn’t. For the last several thousand years, the entire time civilization was being built, you had multiple generations of the same family living in one home. Often, you would have a man, his parents, his wife, and his children all living together.

     The “Man, wife and kids in suburb” was already a corruption of the family structure by damaging the bonds of the community because up until that, people lived near their parents so you had more than just 2 (or 1) people raising the children.
