   As someone who watches a lot of media i appricate a bit of build up in a story.
   
   As someone trying to write media it's SO FUCKING BORING to write about it when you know it's not the part that's interesting but the part needed to be there so that the plot isn't just dropped on a reader with little to no context or any build up to characters so that you don't care enough about them to care what happens to them later...

     @SniperKnighter Even if you're the type that relies a lot on THAT ONE EPIC SCENE, you can still spice the in-betweens, no? Interesting dialogue, character interaction, foreshadowing, etc.
