     @Paultron @charliebrownau there is frenschan.org if you are interested. everyone of value has already moved there, but I still go through 4chan to find the one or two effortposters who have no idea where they are or what happened. but they will move to the fediverse eventually too. i was on 4chan from the beginning. I still remember 2chan as well (its still going, check link at bottom). and the BBS boards and IRC before it. its how I heard about new anime back in the day before it was a household thing. its what we had to work with. and is now more of a novelty than useful. 4chan's ship has sailed a long time ago. for a long time already you can't post without revealing your IP and they rangeban all mobile IPs and VPNs so the only places left are netcafe's (none of those around anymore) and maybe libraries. nah I'm kind of happy 4chan is dying and glowniggers know this. I would not post there at all anymore. remember the energy in a place is the people. the place itself is nothing without the people. this is why the fediverse is alive. we should never have used centralized services but used decentralized instances from the beginning.

     @Paultron @charliebrownau we're in a thread right now. far superior. imageboards were cool in the past but im not really missing it to be honest. aren't you tired of filling in esoteric captchas and dodging literal mountains of spam just to reply to someone? the nostalgia for imageboards is stronger than the shit to interact with it. I'd rather have fediverse a thousand times over than ever have to go back to an imageboard with 5mb webm upload size, and no sound except for certain board. the whole thing was retarded. we used it in the 90s because we had nothing else.

     4chin had this figured out in a better way with x. There was a time captcha could be skipped with a plug in and spam was mostly done manually. Probably was the peak of internet discussions I've seen tbqh

     Not really, these days I'm left with mostly old, legacy websites as alot of the alternatives went under for one reason or another. There is https://soyjak.party/soy/catalog.html if you want the oldschool /b/ raiding experience.

     @charliebrownau @Paultron the matrix server is dead. so is the telegram. maybe 5 replies a day. go look. they only created servers on there because some boomers asked for it. they're likely gonna delete them because no one uses them. not sure what the funnel angle is if there is so little traffic. all people post are badly drawn soyjaks. I don't use matrix because the encryption is more a hassle than useful, israel can read your messages but you can't and no updates to the shit UI in 3 years. kikes are behind every non-federated platform. telegram is shit because it needs a number. signal the same. but boomers and the technically challenged love it. if you can convince them otherwise please do so. frenschan.org is likely gonna create a fediverse instance soon. also glowniggers are already inside your walls
