     @Boomerman well no I mean what they wanted was to break russia. The "afghanistan for russia" is their fall back cope position. The reason I don't care what they think is that in order for it to be that, it has to have the same vague goal as afghanistan did, which it doesn't. They don't want to "bring democracy" to ukraine. They at minimum want to carve off the eastern half into russia proper.
     
     That alone makes it extremely different, because then any gayops that are done there are going to be spun in their media as nato attacks on russia - people in the US had little reason to get incensed if a bomb blew up some us soldiers in aghanistan.
