If you're making a game where it's going to rain a lot, please put some effort into the audio design 🙏
My biggest issue with rain in games is usually the sound. Listening to the same hard rain effect looping over and over again (regardless of the terrain around you), quickly gets annoying. And it really kills the immersion for me. It just feels unnatural if the exact same sound effect is played *everywhere* (near grass, under trees, near buildings, etc)
Audio design really matters in games 😁
