   I could use a know little programming from time to time.

     recommendations for like a beginner book you mean?

     try “Head First Python”, heard it’s pretty good for complete beginners

     there’s also “Learn Python the Hard Way”

     the official website also has a tutorial section

     after you grasp the basic, the ideal thing is to immediately apply what you just learned by writing a basic program that also has at least minimal real world use-case, but you’re still just planning to study it so just take it easy ig

     thankfully python is a really popular language. if you’re stuck in something, chances are lots of other people also had the same problems as you do and the answer is (usually) just a google away.
