     I wonder if spraying the area with capcasin might help. I have some "squirrel proof" suet bird feeders that have hot peppers thrown in to discourage the squirrels. Apparently they don't like spicy food

     @Flick I might give that a go too. I think there are 3 stalks of corn that he missed. There are holes all over my hay.
     
     In other news, this weekend the baby learned what walnuts are. He has been calling them pig noses (when they are split they look like a pig snout) for a few years. Squirrels plant them all over my yard, and I always have to go around pulling them out because as I'm sure you know walnuts don't get along with a lot of plants. Anyway, I was pulling one out and it still had it's pig nose attached, so I showed him, and after a little discussion he said "pig noses are like eggs for pig nose trees". I love that kid.

     @Flick so I found a capcasin liquid used to keep horses from removing tape and stuff that I am going to mix in with the next watering, and I am going to throw some new corn out at the same time and see if he ends up getting at it.
