   I swear anyone who explains to me what #FOSS is again gets an instant block.

   I’ve freely shared nearly everything I’ve created in four decades of programming and I’ve been writing free software exclusively, at great personal expense, for over a decade. (So I haven’t been working at fucking Google or Facebook and hacking on my personal hobby project in the evenings, which seems to be a particularly common trait among #fossbros)

   FOSS is just one feature of #SmallTech.

     Please keep in mind that 99% of [population of earth|population of continent X|population of country X|population of your hometown] do not know what FOSS is and cannot remember to ever have heard or read the term.
     Also it is my experience, that if you use a word (like FOSS) that the person you talk with does not know or understand, them will most likely not show in any way that they do not understand what you are talking about and act as if they did. It is a dilemma.

     @aral That page is such a heartening thing that sometimes I circle back to it for focus and spirit-raising. So a smidgin of actual support for the project was overdue, now rectified.
