   i've noticed something about democracy in other countries than the Nordic ones: some voters seem almost naive. they carry the banner of their chosen candidate and say stuff like "he will save our country". it's typically working class people with no education, and they seem kind of desperate.

   i read an article about Turkey that had voters like that adoring Erdoğan. but i've heard Americans naively swoon over presidential candidates too.

   i suspect it's a result of having a poor and uneducated population.

     @proedie i don't know what people are thinking but they most decidedly don't put their political colours on display. it's usually impossible to tell who people are voting for without talking to them.

     US elections are fake and we have socialized schooling now so it's fake too. More like education for obedient factory workers but the socialists kind of pushed that industry to foreign countries with all their rules.

     @thor @proedie I wish things like that could be apolitical :ablobweary: - we can't leave anything out of politics. It's all fair game. This is why it's so easy to identify the type of voter. Most of us don't consciously display our political leanings, but a lot of people unconsciously do.
