Oh my goodness, that sounds like a dream! And then have people offer tribute as they fear a mutant ant takeover when all fluffy really wants to do is play and be pampered like a sweet little thing :animu_blush2:
@Imp@TheWeez Such misunderstood creatures 😭, some people will never learn to appreciate the simple gentler pleasures of having a beloved giant, mutated Hymenopteran pal to while away the fine spring days with. That means more ant scritching for us though, so it's entirely their loss 😃.
@Imp@TheWeez 🐜 I'm liking this mutation plan, consequence be damned. It's more appealing than my enhanced lifespan possum mount idea.
I imagine me and fluffy (my ant) going on long country walks, playing fetch, belly scritches and fellow citizens grabbing their children and fleeing, screaming in abject terror at the sight of us merrily enjoying life. 😍 🤗
@Imp@TheWeez I'll prepare suitable ant stables with sugar water troughs and skilled ant grooms to keep their armour shiny and to maintain the fine gloss of their chitinous exoskeletons.
I can't wait to give them belly rubs and scritch their adorable antennae 🤗.
Aww, you can just imagine them melting and acting like big puppies by spoiling them! Their little feelers will be going haywire and his big eyes are gonna be shining with happiness :peachcat_blush:
They'll be the finest steeds ever ridden through town. So majestic :darkness_puff:
@Imp@TheWeez I'll bet hey make adorable sounds when super sized. Like a cross between a squeak and enthusiastic puppy 'yip' but with an insect like chittering vibe to it. 😍
@coolboymew@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf Oh wow, Phantasy Star 2, my first ever RPG. Such memories of having my arse handed to me by mushrooms, giant ants and amoebas 🥺.
@coolboymew@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf Mine was on the old genesis (megadrive in these parts) and it had me hooked, never did play 3 but 4 was the best game of that gen, I think.
I've got them somewhere in my emulator folder, I should give them a go for old time's sake. Thanks for posting that screen, it really did jog the old noggin some. 👍
@coolboymew@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf I skipped 3, apparently it had some ambitious ideas for its time but I understand it was rushed and lost a lot with that. It wasn't truly a sequel, I read as 4 follows on from 2's directly. Shame the series went the way it did.
I should try 1. The late game maps in 2 caused my pre-teen brain to liquify but I'm older and wiser now, and have the benefit of better tech and gamefaqs etc :doge_cool: I know it's quite different from the next 3 but it was the foundation for the series and key to the larger lore.
@coolboymew@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf I tried one of the first ones on the PS2 and it just didn't sit well with me. I was never big on action RPGs. Maybe I need to give that another try too, I can be dismissive and impatient.
@coolboymew@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf I think there was a major difficulty for getting the endgame weapons, final dungeon was a piece of piss by comparison.
Ah the old 8-16 bit soundtracks, nothing like them. 😃
The whole generational thing was very new at the time too, I know they've done others since that did it in more polished fashion but a good idea back then.
@Dozu@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf@coolboymew I don't even think I got halfway through it. I certainly had potential but that didn't come to much. Thanks for the offer I'll let you know how I get on 🙂
@Dozu@coolboymew@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf Just having had a nose around it was Phantasy Star Universe that i tried and thought was meh, I'll check out PSO1 as it seems to have been better received. Thank you =).
@Grumblesock@Imp@TheWeez@wgiwf@coolboymew Yeah, PSU was almost universally disliked. PSO1 has a couple different private servers but Ephinea is the most popular. If you give it a try I can probably offload some decent gear depending on your class.
