you get this girl to room with you, but her brother will show up and live with you for every holiday break

GabeLakmann (gabelakmann@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 02:35:11 JST GabeLakmann I'm just not into asian women like some (most?) of the people around these parts are.
Any holiday break lasting longer than a day or two would get old pretty quick with someone like that too. If I was younger and still into partying it might be different but I still wasn't into asian women back then and I don't think it is right to have short term relationships only for the sex.
I used to think it would be cool to do that until a pretty girl used me just for sex.Woggy's Zeonic Frolicks likes this. -

They’re for other people to buy and drive.

ah, I’m sure this is lovely to someone else, but it’s just not for me

GabeLakmann (gabelakmann@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 02:41:33 JST GabeLakmann Haha. I like muscle cars but that is a pretty good comparison. -

Muscle cars need a LOT of modernization to come to live, otherwise they’re slow, loud, hot, attention-grabbing boomer magnets
Someday, my kids will laugh at me for wanting an Evo, or a DC5 Type R for the same reason (but at least those are actually fun to drive)

Unlike everything else you can really spin them up to the limit and not end up in a police chase.
You can savor the experience, and you simply can’t do that in most anything moderately fast. Guys love a 3.7 sec sprint to sixty…..but there’s not much fun in that. You’re just looking for excuses to merge on the interstate ten times in a row. Meanwhile, the guy with a K24 is doing 11,000 RPM on a 45 mph sweeper and only going 17 over.
actually I don’t think I’ve driven an eclipse, either. The S2k was cool enough, just didn’t grab me. Felt like a slightly germanic miata in a way, extremely cramped cockpit and noisy as hell with the cloth top. Plus fuel burn blew me away - but I did keep it in vtec a lot, so it would make sense.

GabeLakmann (gabelakmann@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 02:57:06 JST GabeLakmann Yeah, I like the muscle cars which have upgraded brakes, suspension, and modern drivetrains or at least modern overdrive transmissions on them but still look mostly stock.
Integra Type R's are cool but you should have mentioned the S2000 instead. RWD>AWD>FWD for me, although depending on use AWD can be better.
I like the Lancer Evolutions and Eclipse GSXs since they're about the only decent thing Shitsubishi ever made.
The Evo's look better as a street car and the WRX STi's look better as rally cars but I'd like to have either and set it up as a street legal rally car.
I've been considering doing that lately since they're more practical than lowered cars and can be nearly as fast and handle nearly as well without worrying about taking steep driveways at angles or worrying about potholes and the like due to our shitty infrastructure these days. -
Sick Burn, Bro (sickburnbro@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 04:10:47 JST Sick Burn, Bro @GabeLakmann @Twoinchdestroya @WashedOutGundamPilot I think the most interesting thing that is technically possible that could happen is the gasoline engines with autoignition. I think BMW even had one that they had on the road, it's just that gasoline requires much more careful input monitoring to get it to work.
I think second most interesting is the hydrogen rotaries.
Both of these, I think will make highly soulful cars -

Sick Burn, Bro (sickburnbro@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 04:10:48 JST Sick Burn, Bro @GabeLakmann @Twoinchdestroya @WashedOutGundamPilot right; but the point that I'm making is that he's already saying "cars today are so great!" but .. that's only because his expectations have already been set. -
GabeLakmann (gabelakmann@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 04:10:48 JST GabeLakmann Ah, I was wondering what you were getting at.
That makes sense. I just hope they can make the cars in the future feel like they have a soul of some sort since they're pushing electric vehicles so hard and the only thing they seem to have going for some of them is being able to accelerate so quickly. -
Sick Burn, Bro (sickburnbro@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 04:10:49 JST Sick Burn, Bro @WashedOutGundamPilot @Twoinchdestroya @GabeLakmann well, maybe for you; but imagine in 30 years if a transmission is perfect and you never get any kind of lag, and there is never a turbo lag, etc etc. -
GabeLakmann (gabelakmann@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 04:10:49 JST GabeLakmann As long as you don't get turbos that are way too big for your application like a lot of idiots do, same with camshafts, then turbo lag isn't bad at all these days. -
Sick Burn, Bro (sickburnbro@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 12-May-2023 04:11:15 JST Sick Burn, Bro @eee @GabeLakmann @Twoinchdestroya @WashedOutGundamPilot what's interesting is that because the outside is the triangle and the inside is the oval, it seems to end up having several advantages. Not have moving seals seems to be one of them
