     @Flick are you referring to the oyster kit or the mysterious potentially deadly shroom I posted yesterday? That one is under my plum tree. The grow kit ifor oyster mushrooms is in the kitchen although I think it may be spent already

     That’s a shame about the oyster kit. How many portions do you think you got from it? Was it cost-effective compared to just buying them?

     @Flick I really only got about 2 cups of mushrooms when it came time to harvest. A few caps really bloomed out nice but a lot stayed pretty small. I kept it on the counter with no direct sun but access to natural light. I would say if you want to grow mushrooms go for one of the wood plug kits. I think you get years out of them but they take a lot longer to get started than the sawdust block. It was a neat experiment but not enough yield to make sense price wise. I hoped when I cut back the larger caps it would leave room for the smaller ones but it has not turned out that way.
