   Six people including a mother and her eight-year-old daughter have died after being attacked by killer bees following a traffic accident in Nicaragua.

   The victims were among around 60 passengers on board a coach that came off the road and ended up crashing in an area where African honeybees were being kept in hives.

   The angry insects are said to have reacted by stinging 45 passengers on the bus as they escaped from the vehicle.

     @HebrideanHecate Husband kept talking about it but never did anything more. Not enough space here, although I suppose I could ask next door if I could stick some in the corner of their field….

     @Flick @HebrideanHecate Years ago I got everything I needed to start an apiary except for the bees. Then I started dating someone who was deathly allergic. I have asked her to try and secure an epipen from a doctor we could keep on hand, but so far no luck. I'd rather learn how to dose epinephrine myself than depend on a special applicator, but in an emergency the epipen is probably a lot easier to deal with.
