   >Mitra and Pixelfed are already using Vue for their frontend. In my humble opinion, they'd be better off doing like Takahe and deferring to Elk as a default/recommended frontend.

   That would make sense for some twitter clones, but PixelFed and Mitra do not fit well into this category. There are too many unique features and we can't expect that 3rd party app will support all of them.
   Even for twitter clones, this kind of centralization around a single client sounds like a bad idea to me.
