     Nobody appears to care much. Use different networks for different moods.

     Appears journalists were the main catalyst.

     They were the gateway for political actors and other news media that resulted in profitable outrage, also known as "engagement"

     Musk broke that chain. Probably unintentionally.

     @csb @agates Speaking for me, I’m not distracted by Nostr. I borrowed its identity model and message schema for Mkultra because it was simple and I don’t want to participate with Microsoft’s DID format.

     I agree that the long term outlook isn’t great for Nostr. It will shake out like this imo:

     - Twitter: right leaning outrage
     - Bluesky: left leaning outrage
     - Mastodon: niche tech and foss communities
     - Nostr: Bitcoin people saying pura vida to each other

     I stopped expending energy on it a long time ago.
     
     Better to invest my time and energy into things I know will work because I've spent years researching the topics.
     
     It may take them twice the effort to realize failure, and I've learned we have to let them.

     just my personal opinion: Nostr is waste of time and unnecessary distraction for Podcasting 2.0, it’s just a toy for maxi bitcoiners and not a pathway for Podcasting 2.0 to achieve massive mainstream-like popularity. Effort wasted on Nostr would be better spent for example on convincing devs like Arment to use cloud chapters and transcripts of Podcasting 2.0.

     Future is partly written already (there is no fate but what we make for ourselves is a lie), partly not yet, so focus is vital.
