     @heavens_feel @gucciloafers @Remi I understand that masks were a cultural thing over there before the whole covid thing (society over individual, ageing population, etc) and didn’t have the same political charge it has in the US. Still, I find it difficult to watch channels that walk through Japan (Rambalac) because of all the masks. It’s a personal and selfish notion, I fully admit, but I wish they would just return to normal :/

     @JedKron1248 @Remi @gucciloafers My Japanese teacher goes maskless when she's out and about over there. Unfortunately unless there's a critical mass of people face diaper free, there are some that will continue to stick those disgusting things on their faces.

     @heavens_feel @Remi @gucciloafers Very sad, especially since the data has been out for a while that the typical, mass market muzzle does absolutely nothing against covid, and pretty much anything you’d want it to stop getting in. I can see arguments if you’re sick and don’t want to spit on people, but as a protection for yourself, they’re pretty useless.

     Hard to tell people that though, as the propaganda went hard, and people don’t want to admit they’ve been wrong all this time.

     @Remi @JedKron1248 @gucciloafers They're not doing it because of pollen. The covid theatre continues over there, despite their own government telling them to cut it out for the good of the economy and society as a whole.

     @JedKron1248 @heavens_feel @gucciloafers This sounds more of a problem of American obsession of turning everything into a political issue than it does Japanese wearing masks to deal with pollen and cold weather.

     @Remi @heavens_feel @gucciloafers When your political enemies were the ones making the biggest hullabaloo about it and trying to make it a moral issue, it’s hard to not view any issue as a political one, whether it is one in reality or not.

     @Remi @JedKron1248 @gucciloafers again, the mask thing staying is not because of pollen. Otherwise it would have stopped before pollen season started. We are talking about different things now.
