     @coolboymew possums feign death when stress reaches critical levels(read: commit unconscious for 1 to X hours) and shit and piss themselves as they do it to become less attractive to predators. the piss mustve triggered a "this is another animal's piss, i must overwrite it with my own piss marker" response, overwriting the "i will eat this small prey animal" behaviour

     @coolboymew @lebronjames75 They play dead, but not like some other animals.
     They have a scent gland that smells of rot, and they go catatonic, which is why they don't get back up right away.
     
     The smell is nasty, ruins the apatite, so I can totally get why he pissed on the bastard.
