Nick (nou@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 03-May-2023 22:44:27 JST Nick @Shadowbroker2135 @grey @matrix I've never heard of separate beds in the same room. But spouses maintaining separate rooms is apparently (relatively) common and becoming even more so. matrix07012 :thotpatrol: :cunnyEmpire: likes this. -

Separate rooms is fairly common, since sleeping together can be disruptive for many reasons, and it's an easy fix as long as you aren't attached to the symbolism of sleeping together every night.
I was just doing a bit about the size of the bed not matching up with Minecraft.matrix07012 :thotpatrol: :cunnyEmpire: likes this. -

Nick (nou@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 03-May-2023 22:45:23 JST Nick @JonnyFever @matrix @Shadowbroker2135 @grey Lol. But having kids outside of marriage is even more dumb by several orders of magnitude.
That being said, if a guy doesn't want to sleep in the same bed as these blanket stealing succubi so he can get an actual good night's sleep, he has my complete sympathy.matrix07012 :thotpatrol: :cunnyEmpire: likes this. -

Nick (nou@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 03-May-2023 22:45:48 JST Nick @grey @JonnyFever @matrix @Shadowbroker2135 I've never understood the appeal. They've either completely wrapped themselves in the blanket and you freeze, or they're directly on top of you and you sweat like a pig while feeling like you're paralyzed. If a family has the money/space for two bedrooms, then good on them for any couple that does this. matrix07012 :thotpatrol: :cunnyEmpire: likes this. -

Nick (nou@poa.st)'s status on Wednesday, 03-May-2023 22:46:24 JST Nick @MeBigbrain @Shadowbroker2135 @grey @matrix Very based.
And historically that was the norm for the aristocracy, who could afford it. And I don't think any couple should break the bank buying a house with an extra room just for this purpose. But if you've got the space, it makes a lot more sense than a guest bedroom.matrix07012 :thotpatrol: :cunnyEmpire: likes this. -

All the snuggle time we want + not stealing the covers from each other. matrix07012 :thotpatrol: :cunnyEmpire: likes this. -

- mattress preference differences
- sleep time differences / waking the other person up getting into and out of bed
- schedule differences, especially for people who do shift work
- night washroom visit disturbances
- phone notifications, especially when on pager duty
- phone use, some people like using their phone in bed while trying to sleep for some reason
- snoring
- cpap machine interference / noise
- evening / morning shower preferences
long-term relationships shouldn’t be shackled to the idea that both parties have to sleep in the same bed / room every night in order to be healthy, if it works for you, great. but no one should feel like it’s out of the question to reorganize this.
