They can make all the plans they want but they still have to use the faithful peons at the base of their pyramid scheme carry it all out. I think more and more of their hackneyed psyops will damage the connection as time goes on.
Their most fervent, ardent supporters in the middle management won’t keep carrying out their orders with 100% fidelity, they’ll pick up all kinds of errors as time goes on and the double think gets to be too distracting. In 20 years they’ll be having to yank the chain to the extreme, ordering 300% exertion only to see 30% actually carried out in practice. That slop is going to be VERY interesting.
The more extreme their propaganda gets in order to achieve diminishing returns on the ground, the more insane their faithful, crazy managers will become. It’s going to be a very hard structure to feasibly control. In the past there were longer-lived moral structures providing a backstop, moral codes that allowed a slower paced transition from one popular mindset to a more ‘progressive’ one. Now comms are instantaneous, they’re basically re-flashing the NPC bios every year. What happens when the unwed female cohort takes those instructions at 100%, while the men only do at 30%
