   Every single time I re-read Berserk, there's something that kicks me right in the metaphorical nuts. Even in the first story arc (which is usually considered the worst arc) there are moments like this that make me feel emotions I didn't know I was capable of feeling any more.

     @noyoushutthefuckupdad @skypage @Fullmetal2255 the best advert is the 1997 anime which is great. You better believe you'll start reading the manga after that

     I've heard good things about that series but haven't tried reading the manga or checking out the anime adaptation. I'm going to hazard the manga is the best way to experience it?

     @skypage @coolboymew @Fullmetal2255 yes. every animated version is flawed in some way (1997 series, 2012 movies) or outright unwatchable (2016 series). this is annoying because the manga is the best thing I've ever seen, unironically.
