   @Draven There’s a ridiculous conceit from many SF authors that we’d be stupid enough to give AIs the sort of power that would allow them to kill lots of people as 2001: A Space Odyssey or zillions where they’re given nuclear launch ability.

   No sign in the real world people that count are that stupid, totally lacking in healthy paranoia.

     @ThatWouldBeTelling @Draven Our best hope for not all getting killed by rogue AI is AI causing any number of smaller shitshows and fuckups before it quite reaches that level. But AI is here and it's gonna leave a massive impact.
