     @Mastodon Hi, thanks for the news and the work and sorry to bother: wasn't quote posts' absence an intentional feature not a bug?, I have kind of a recollection in that sense... Thanks a lot.

     @Mastodon For all those against quote posts:

     Quote posts already exist, they're called screenshots and links. If people were going to harass others with quote posts, then they already are now.
     However screenshots are prone to being doctored, and links are horrible for accessibility. Generally both are a dumb idea when the Fediverse is kinda made for this.

     Quote posts can only be an upgrade, bringing Mastodon up to the other Fediverse apps
