What white folks don't understand is we still have grandparents who are alive and can tell us the truth.
My Grandpa was born and raised in Mississippi and his stories fill in the gaps for real .
Real stories of oppression he and his parents had to put up with in his own country ffs!
That is what drives me , what gives me the energy to fight back and show what we can achieve.
Segregation is recent history. We can't just forget and forgive!
