     @okuu Caribbean piracy was much more jewish than you might imagine based on the glamorous picture jews in Hollywood have given you of them. Consequentially, they were probably pretty gay. Good comparison from pax.

     @CenturianFrend @okuu Its also probably fair to say that there’s a pretty big difference between pirates and privateers beyond the license meme. Contributing to your nation’s war effort is much more pro social than pure parasitism, even if that kind of economic warfare leaves a bad taste in your mouth since there’s a pretty obvious through line from British privateering to the mass murdering British blockades of the world wars.
