Was watching a Xenoblade Chronicles 3 dlc stream and had to shut it off from cringing too hard when someone in chat said "before anyone says anything A identifies with they/them pronouns" Like dude she doesn't even exist. Shit is so obnoxious.

@totallyoriginalname At least it's just some weirdo in the chat. Still, it's just as annoying as seeing a bunch of identity flag emote reactions.

I've seen dumbasses like this actually spoil moments in games where you aren't supposed to know a character is a girl until waaay later and it is actually kinda cool how they reveal it all because they get offended on a fictional character's behalf
-
@totallyoriginalname Because they need social acceptance. Instead of making something like an OC to go around the internets with, they latch onto existing IPs because it has a built in fanbase for attention. Their identity is their character, and despite wanting acceptance, the path they choose to get it is by forcing it down the throats of everyone else. Anyone that pushes back (even nicely) gets turned into the bad guy for not accepting their unwanted advances. It's like the whole Shiver from Splatoon 3 being non-binary thing. No. Go away.
It's narcissism plain and simple, yet
when I ask them to find some other place that features their sexual identities they don't want it and go straight to name calling. It's like the Danganronpa character Chihiro... him desiring to be a man is essential to the character and plot. Suddenly he gets claimed as trans, when it couldn't be anything further from the truth :kekw:
With respect to Ei/A, she is the yang to Alvis's yin.
I hate how mental illness is everything to these people. I can't wait until this gets naturally corrected and we can return to normalcy. Only some characters are truly ambiguous imo, like Enkidu from Fate.

@Cayhr I don't get why people care so much! It is the same people who fucking fight over the perceived sexualities of fictional characters it is so fucking annoying.
