   Alright, Mario movie review
   
   Saw it in French (QC dub) bedside Chris Pratt be that bad actually
   
   It's a bit exactly what I took from.the trailers, too.much fucking references, it never stops, which is annoying in all sorts of ways
   
   At least it's not another fucking princess kidnapping plot, but Luigi missing for a lot of the movie is not good. The girlboss shit was overstated, but she's still the strong woman archetype even if it was tolerable. That should have been left to Daisy
   
   All in all, the, movie is just pure excess, which is not surprising from modern Hollywood and modern 3DCG cartoon movies
   
   Also American not have self references bullshit like the training montage and that other part having 80s music... which on the other hand it's at least not modern music and Mario didn't dance to fucking rap music, which the only rap was the DK rap
   
   The real world Mario stuff and his family and the Wrecking Crew foreman stuff was great. The Mario/Luigi dynamic and the DK/Mario dynamics were great. Toad was his Mario RPG self and the random character and he was great
   
   Everything after the DK fight was golden more or less and it's probably one of the more accurate video game movie out there
   
   Despite me shitting on it so much, it could be so so so, much worst. Overall, I'd say it was good but not a grand classic

     @coolboymew I watched the movie stoned originally and then saw it again sober (on twitter actually lmao), and the experience is completely different, when I was high I enjoyed it more, basically "ooh pretty colors, yay bing bing wahoo!" and then the second time it was more like "oh this shit never actually stops, huh?"
     
     The problem I had with the movie both times was that everything after them going to DK was pointless, since they immediately got captured after the MK homage. Also one thing I noticed was that Mario needed training to be mid but Luigi just did it at the end and was just as good as his brother? Proof that even cartoon characters need to stop skipping leg day

     @coolboymew I am not seeing it until i can pirate it, i don't care enough about movies to bother. It's started a wave of evey studio digging out the video game movie scripts they have thinking they can get a bit of that vidya movie action while it's hot. It's gonna be dire the next few years since comic movies are lol now.

     i'm not going to see it (i would torrent it if i hypothetically did want to watch it) because hollywood shouldn't be making japanese movies.... i hate it..... what else did they make? pokeman movie..... and then that final fantasy movie from like a couple decades ago.... what else
     
     but any way, oh yeah also the wrecking crew bad dude was named Blackie in the jap version of the game but they named him spike in western versions to not offend black people probably, but the dumb thing is even though his name has been blackie in jap version all these decades now they decide to (retroactively?) rename him to spike in japanese stuff now since the movie released so that the names could match...... like why? why can't they just be different names like they always have been.... japan is big cuck these days.. i look forward to ching jinping taking over the world... glory to china
     
     if a movie is made about japanese game then japanese people should make it.. if i were shigeru i would be seppukuing my brains out right now as soon as mario movie is released
