That's what I mean when I say people who go out of their way to make symbol subservient to language. For these to mean different things is dependent upon someone making the choice to wade in and invest themselves in the ideological debate. To the average person these are all just ways to describe the same thing. The language as determiner of phenomenon is a specific way of viewing language, often in a specific context. (For example someone may not generally believe in language as controlling phenomena but might in a particular subject that they are overly invested in.)
