     while I was there, before any of this started, they would just have the actual army patrolling around with full loaded assault rifles for "anti-terrorism" reasons
     I kept telling Hélène like "this is unthinkable even in the US, which is saying something"
     and then they started doing all this shit

     France has la Ligue des Droits de l'Homme (the League of Human Rights, literally)
     and uh
     Darmanin (interior minister, in charge of the police) keeps saying they're terrorists and need to be abolished (and also Amnesty International)
