Apparently this lets you play DS games without a flashcart. A lot has changed since I last used this console regularly. :ina_nod:

@Yagamaska Not much has changed at the core of it. 3ds guide has steps to update luma from whatever version you're on depending on how OLD it is. Then after that just update FBI and all your homebrew stuff.
But if you do move to a New3DS get one from Japan. People are overpricing them here.

Technically the function was always there but so slow that a flashcart was preferable, hence why I bought it. These days I'm considering a New 2DS/3DS XL for greater homebrew capabilities. Not that the O3DS I have now is bad (aside from the disintegrated circle pad). I just made a mistake with getting too small a size SD card and now I'm unsure if fixing that is as easy as simply moving everything to a bigger one.
More importantly, I haven't touched it since Freeshop got shut down so God knows what I'd have to do to get it up to speed.

Those are region-free so the sole issues would be shipping costs and finding a proper vendor. Any suggestions or is crossing my fingers on eBay my best option?

@Yagamaska They're still at decent prices on ebay, snatch one up before the scalpers realize they're only fucking the NTSC chumps

If only I wasn't a procrastinating penny pincher. However, I heard 3DS emulation development is dead so choices are slimming. Surely a N2DS will be less expensive due to lacking the (needless) 3D, hopefully. Thank you.

@Yagamaska I bought a backup 3ds because the citrus devs abandoned it for yuzu. It's gonna be a while before we see any more big strides in 3ds emulation.

@rlier23 @Yagamaska 250ish, much better than the 400 that the US ones are being thrown up at

@Kyonko802 @Yagamaska at what price are they right now?
