if you’re considering downloading random Windows debloating tools from the internet

I’ve seen this play out before. They rally around it as the one true fix, until the pressure becomes too great for the abused to resist any longer. The debloating tool (lipstick on a pig) falls out of maintenance and the mass of users decrying how terrible $FORCED_NEW_THING is passively accept it because “well, you need it if you want to do vendor-locked thing©!“. The root of the problem is that they aren’t pursuing freedom, but rather trying to cling to familiar vices at all costs. Just enjoy the spectacle.
