@Tao I have read some of it, but not all yet. It's an extremely brilliant and beautiful text. I was extremely moved by this part:
"The myriad creatures rise from it yet it claims no authority; It gives them life yet claims no possession; It benefits them yet exacts no gratitude; It accomplishes its task yet lays claim to no merit.
It is because it lays claim to no merit That its merit never deserts it."
@Tao I just watched it, it’s a great video I will subscribe. ^^
I don’t know if I understand wu-wei properly but at least it has inspired me to take a different approach with how I deal with my emotions. Lately I have been trying to follow the path of least resistance and not put up a fight with the things that are going on inside of me, and it’s surprisingly effective. I just go with the way things are and trust that things will sort themselves out.
“The submissive and the weak will overcome the hard and the strong.” -Tao Te Ching chapter 36
@toast extremely based. i also started to take this approach on how i deal with people. I used to be too expressive and that would get me in trouble with my peers sometime because i would say something they didn't like or that they didn't agree. Now i just listen more than i speak and i found out that it is way less chaotic and problematic when i listen and only speak when i truly want to. makes me happier to be a lurker basically lol
