     @SrbijaStronk @synapsid Until someone replaces Sam's niche he will keep a monopoly on the type of people that donate to Sam Hyde. It's like if onlyfans existed but there was only one woman on the platform and there are literally no alternatives. No shit she'll make infinite money no matter what she does. The only genuine way to force him to change is to be a threat to his monopoly on right leaning comedy.

     @SrbijaStronk This is what happens when paypigs reward someone just cause they ‘say based stuff bro!’ and not on the merit of whatever the product is. It’s one thing to be a new, up and coming group/company, those will always have growing pains when they first start out, it’s another to have the same recurring issues 10+ years into the game while you ignore or gaslight anyone that points them out.

Yes they are retarded and it's frustrating but fundamentally it's in their nature. You should understand that and use that knowledge to your advantage to both help yourself and our people. Easier said than done I know but still.

     @synapsid @SrbijaStronk I’ve been hammering the dire quality state of all these streamers forever. Even now I can’t really think of anyone I’d wholeheartedly recommend. At BEST there’s something that’s only slightly better than turning on QVC.

     Although from the estimates I’ve seen sam isn’t making that much, his Youtube revenue is less than a quarter million a year - tiddlywinks w/ multiple employees, that’s smaller than a mediocre wendy’s franchise

     @synapsid @SrbijaStronk Good based stuff was made when being based was rewarded with high status. Now it's low status and anyone who makes it is low status, anyone who makes goyslop is rewarded with the good jobs and the good reputation.
     
     People who are smart will choose to either make goyslop or just not enter the entertainment industry whatsoever. Few of them want to become rejects with very little hope of succeeding. And they will always lack funding and face backlash.
     
     Our society is mostly unable to produce good content at this point. I think you have to approach everything with that understanding.

     @rein @synapsid @SrbijaStronk People haven’t noticed the negative effect of the algo system yet: Creators can’t just make something for passion in a vacuum. In order to become anything close to profitable, they have to play the social game, which inevitably screens out the kubrickian types who obsess over making something quality. You HAVE to have a strain of lolcow in you in order to succeed.
