     @LostInCalifornia @Flick they are ruined. I doubt any will play as they were left in a bag in the basement with no care for moisture. I didn't even know he ever had any 8 tracks. We never had a player growing up (just the turn table and various tape players)

     @thatguyoverthere @Flick Yeah, those tapes don’t last long.

     Only time I had access to a player, it was in an old car my dad owned. Borrowed one of my brother’s tapes, left it in the car for an hour, but this was when I was still living in the desert. Fried crispy Lynyrd Skynyrd.

     @LostInCalifornia @Flick I had a friend with an old gremlin that had an 8track player. I thought they were so cool because you could skip the track instead of having to fast forward and guess on a tape. I remember at one point some tape players started actually trying to guess the end of tracks.
