     Thanks to his preening faggotry, I learned that Brown flew for the bad guys in spain, thanks to this guy singing his praises. This kind of douche is a very irritating type to me, you see it in a lot of the British commonwealth zone’s content creators.

     They were raised to worship all the gay WWII mythos, and they take great offense at how much people love the germans. They HATE it when you post pictures of cool Stukas and sexy anime women sitting on a Tiger II. They want you to be giving their antifascist side all that respect and admiration.

     @Mutsu_a125 Sounds like the news just broke, he was staying mum about it. Funny enough, he was recruited in a pub and went to spain thinking he would be fighting for Franco. Supposedly he only found out it was the republicans after he was there, and he “only flew reconnaissance missions”

     I’ve never cared much about him one way or another, had some good info on planes but I’ve grown sour on him because so many detestable people worship him as law

     @GabeLakmann @Chet The germans were just not ready for what was to come. I bet if you were to go to any point before america’s entry they’d tell you there’s little chance of total war mobilization of the american system to bludgeon them into submission. They thought that american citizens’ desires to stay out of things actually had any bearing on their masters’ orders. Instead they launched 100% against the reich, with most of the guys bound for europe complaining that they weren’t attacking japan instead.

     Tigers are cool and all, but I think we made something like 9 shermans for every one of them, and ours fit on a standard railway car for transport.

     Of all the lessons we could learn from WWII, the enduring myth of “Quality, not Quantity*” is one I’d like put to rest for good.

     Personally thr BF-109 and P51 are two of the best looking aircraft.
     
     The FW-190 doesn't look right to me. Too elongated maybe?

     I just don't like canopies that end with the rear firewall of the aircraft. Tear drop style canopies just look right to me. It's why I don't care for most of the Spitfires.
     
     As far as too long, I think maybe you're thinking of the FW-190 Dora/ta152 variant when you say it is too long.
     The first image (if they appear top to bottom in the order I attach them that is) is the regular FW190 and the second is the FW ta152 with a MB inverted V12.
     The ta-152 is definitely a "long boi" as the youth say.

     Ahh yes! The longer Dora version is what I was thinking of. Even with teh standard FW190 I still prefer the 51 and BF-109. Something about the BF 109 with its square blocky canopy. Really like it!

     The BF-109 with its blocky canopy looks purpose built and tough, which I think it was.
     
     As far as planes that have canopies that end at the rear firewall go, it's my favorite out of those.
     
     It was a good plane but I don't think it was much better than the FW190 performance wise and the FW190 was easier to fly. They were both easier to service that many aircraft made by "Allied" powers which is odd to me because they thought about servicing in the field and didn't take steps to have an assembly line mass production of them like the USA did with their aircraft.
     
     I understand the German ethos of building things by hand and making them the best you can but sometimes you have to push stuff out that is "good enough" just to have numbers and that is what the USA excelled at. If the USA didn't have the mass production facilities and experience from Automobiles and stuff we'd have surely lost.
     
     German WW2 pilots are likely going to be the best fighter pilots to have ever lived since the situation they found themselves in will not happen again most likely and as AI/drone piloted stuff takes over humans will have less chances to prove themselves.

     Best air to ground aircraft in WW2, in my opinion, was the Stuka and the best fighter aircraft was the FW-190 or variants of it. I'd consider the Me-262 but it wasn't made in large enough numbers really.
     
     As far as aesthetics go, the FW-190 is the best looking aircraft in WW2 with the P-51 coming in second. Best looking piston powered aircraft of all time probably.
     
     If the Germans had made a few different decisions we might be speaking German and be better for it.

     Does anyone else think that German and American aircraft perform and look great while the British stuff looked godawful and was always trying to catch up (aside from the Rolls Royce engines)?
     
     Japanese stuff isn't too bad either I guess. The Zero looked better than most British stuff.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @GabeLakmann @Chet It's interesting to see that sometime in the Cold War the USA and NATO moved away from their WW2 era strategy of mass production and replaceability to the German one of high technology and low number high precision equipment. The integration of West Germany into NATO and the return of old Wehrmacht officers into command probably had a bit to do with it.

     @wgiwf @GabeLakmann @Chet I think it had a lot to do with an enemy that took the “quantity” tactic much further than we did. Much easier to sell them on manufacturing a magic plane that can annihilate 100 T-72’s than 150 M1’s

     I have a German great grandfather who was, I think, an infantryman during WW2 and got a purple heart because he got shot in the foot by a German sniper. I'd like to know more about him and document everything from him and my great grandmother during that time. I'd also like to know more about the sniper who shot him. I can't help but wonder if they might be related since he was a second generation German immigrant to the US.
     
     I'd bet if he knew then what we know now he wouldn't have helped defeat the Germans in any way though.

Disseminate the recording to all the interested ones in the family, but be sure to retain copyright over it lest some boomer faggot sell it off for use in shitlib media.

     Just OTOMH stuff to consider when you go in. I’d have much less trouble had we done that.

     @kuon @GabeLakmann @Chet @1967GTO I suspect part of the reason we have this weird porn-induced incest traction is due in part to the fact nobody had siblings. Easy to fantasize about a sister you never had.

     Not to mention the lack of healthy intimacy with the opposite gender. Girls and boys learn a lot from the way we treat each other as siblings, there’re so many lessons only children have deferred until adulthood that they come off weird as hell. Only the observant, smart ones can fix themselves before being a total freak.

     I've met a couple but I think that there is some truth that only children tend to not share as much and all that as children who have siblings.

Hanging out with friends who were only children, it was like they really, really didn't want it to end and be left alone, moreso than a kid normally doesn't want a playdate to end. I think it's the same as with most baby animals, where it's advised to have more than one so they can learn to socialize properly.
     
     And with adults it's like the old vegan or cyclist joke: How do you know someone was an only child? They'll tell you. Honestly there's probably a lot of only children who never bring it up, and my perception us biased because the only people I've known for a fact were only children happened to be the ones who were kind of messed up because they wetr only children. There's definitely some people who were and I just never found out because they were normal.
