@JonnyFever Weird thing just happened, was listening to an interview and the dude brought up something about Psalm 82.

I just read it, Bible translators left a gap in their cover story.

In 8 short verses, we see how Asaph witnesses Yahweh amongst *OTHER* gods in an assembly.

Yahweh cusses them out as unjust, insensitive to the poor etc.

Then in v6 and v7 he basically says to the other Gods "you (gods) are all sons of the most high, but you will die just like men do."

So basically Yahweh BTFOd the other gods, and this makes sense when you consider the Jews conquered all the nearby nations around then back in David's day (when these words were written).

v8 concludes with Asaph basically like "go Yahweh, crush the other nations, and judge the earth (since the other gods are unjust)."

Crazy, must have read this so many times but now I have the correct context.

Crazy stuff indeed.
