     @DW2 @Paultron Keep in mind this basically just nullifies the discounts the top end would have received. It's more like a curve where everyone gets 20% added to their grade but those scoring 80% and up are maxed at 100%. They're doing this to keep the housing market from collapsing since good credit borrowers can go to anything that isn't FHA and get the better rate like before. This will cause FHA to become the official "subprime lender" in our country. Low risk borrowers won't bother with it when there's a 2% better rate through any other method. Fives years down the road FHA will raise their mortgage insurance premiums or require a bailout once the noticably higher default percentage starts showing and pension funds are at risk.

     @DW2 New meta just dropped. Instead of getting a credit card and paying off your bill each month regularly, just pay the bare minimum until your credit score tanks. Then apply for a mortgage loan.

     Yeah, I can't see how this could possibly go wrong.

     Side note: a lot of mortgage companies/banks show how lazy they are when they only look at credit scores instead of having an underwriting process.

     MAGIC NUMBER UP! THAT GOOD! MAGIC NUMBER DOWN! THAT BAD! (well maybe not anymore).
