Oh! I've never seen a maroon one. Please share a picture when it blooms. Those wild roses really are a pain in the butt. They take over. I try to keep it wrangled to just a few places around the yard. This one is in the chicken yard. I had a nice patch of blackberries here last year for the hens to snack on but now it's just bush.

I think it's ugly, so makes me mad at its invasiveness even more. If it was at least pretty and smelled good I wouldn't complain too much.
