So in case you were watching the stream today, I figured out what the issue was.
Spoiler: Node.js’s bloody knuckleheaded approach to for requiring ES modules to either have .mjs extensions or for your to have a package.json file with "type": "module" strikes again.

… You see, until recently, Kitten routes didn’t have .js extensions and I used an ES Module Loader to map supported extensions to ES modules.
Then to help with authoring, .js extensions were added (so we don‘t need special tooling anymore) and I removed the module loader.
Nothing broke because nearly all my projects use a package.json file and the examples are all under a directory that has one too…

…Fast forward to the stream where I was creating a project from scratch and there wasn’t a package.json file (with "type": "module") in my simple demo and Node tried to load the file as CJS and failed.
So, I’m going to have to reimplement the ES Module loader just to tell Node that it should treat .js files as ES Modules not CJS.
*smh*
Anyway, mystery solved :)
Sorry for those of you who had to watch me flail during the stream but it’s also part of why I do them… :)

Can you point me in the right direction to generate a new client certificate in my browser? What browser do you use?

@aral no problem I have a bunch of twitch streams I did building nodenogg.in were everything was fine of so I thought until I tried to stream the demo 😂 you learn a lot from running app from scratch to try and show it, not had any time to play with kitten or domain yet really but as I am excellent and breaking things when I do sit down Ill try and make sure it is recorded as well 🤪

Right, I’ve reintroduced the ES Module loader and it now maps the new Kitten extensions (.page.js, .component.js, .post.js, etc.) to ESM so you can, once again, use them without having to have a package.json file with "type": "module" in your projects.
I’ve updated the distribution builds so if you’re playing with Kitten, please reinstall to get the latest.
