   Nerds, is it really worth going through the trouble to swap out an SSD with an NVME? I’ve never really seen the need on my stuff, but people are constantly talking about it.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot i really only prefer NVME because less wires but SATA 3 speeds are still good enuff for most tasks.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot NVMe is good for most creative software, but it hardly makes a difference in games (unless it's a modern title with fancy tech). The M.2 gum-stick-shaped SSDs might not have NVMe though because of cost.

     Since I don’t really play video games, or edit video I guess there isn’t much reason to get one. That’s about what I suspected, I was just wondering if I was really missing out on something.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot They're more convenient on new builds. As far as migrations go, if you have to ask, the answer is no, it won't materially improve your experience by itself.
