     I wonder how much of the recent GOP losses in 2020 and 2022 have been due to Republicans voters being totally checked out as opposed to young voters turning out in droves for Dems. It has to be a factor of some consideration. Trump did more damage to the party than most can conceive of while the Dems successfully energized their base. Tale as old as time.

     I always have to insert myself into these conversations to point out something no one ever discusses. On election night in 2020, about 43 states called their results. Every single one of them went the exact same way they did in 2016. The last seven almost all started as Trump victories and gradually shifted to Biden over the course of a week. It's very obvious what happened.
