The left has a habit of taking events that would generally be seen as losses for their side, and celebrating them as if they were victories.

For example: Fox News just settled with Dominion out of court for an amount that is negligible for a media giant like Fox. This lawsuit was something that the left was raving about for months, claiming it would be the undoing of the evil Putin ally TV network. And yet, this settlement has dashed any hope of that happening. It's a return to the status quo, a betrayal of the left's inflated expectations.

And yet, if you look at what they're saying on Twitter, you'd be forgiven for thinking that this is some massive win for them. That they've accomplished everything that they wanted to, and that they "saved democracy yet again".

They're winning.
You're losing.

Another example: When word first got out about Disney's litigious trickery to strip Governor Desantis' new board of power over Reedy Creek, the left went nuts. They were reveling in the fact that "Ron Desatan got totally OWNED by Mickey Mouse". They celebrated that "victory", completely ignoring the obvious fact that it would inevitably get struck down.

Today, Ron Desantis announced that he would indeed strike down Disney's sham agreement. So you'd think that the left would be upset, having such a huge victory stolen away from them like that.

But no.

Instead they celebrate yet again. Yapping about how "Disney's lawyers will win!"
"Desatan is RUINING Florida by going after Disney!"
"No one in Florida wants to go to war against Disney!"
"Desatan is just trying to be Hitler but it WON'T WORK!"

For the left, nothing can be seen as a loss. Everything is a win. even if nothing of substance is gained, even if the opposition gains ground, even if they get removed from positions of power.

None of it matters.

They're winning.
You're losing.

That's all they want you to think.
