I wonder, it seems like PewDiePie actually lives in Japan now, but did he actually take the time to learn Japanese though?
Or is he yet another stereotypical western gaijin who refuses to learn Japanese, locks himself up into Tokyo's concrete jungle for the rest of his life into the English speaking gaijin-bubble, and relies on his wife to do all the Japanese language requiring work for him like 99% of the other western gaijin living in Japan?

I know some foreigners who can adapt to Japan, they speak the language quite well (or at least put in the effort to learn it), explore the country to learn more about the culture, but those are pretty rare.
The only thing Asian foreigners do is that they explore the country, but beyond that they're just as "adaptive" as 99% of the western or African foreigners here.
Like I know 1 white guy who has been living here for only 3 years so far, but can speak Japanese very well, and is even able to hold full blown political debates in Japanese.
On the other hand I know hundreds of other white guys and gals who have been living here for 20+ years, and still can't speak any Japanese beyond just "arigatou gozaimasu" and "konnichiwa"......in a heavy accent.

I really, really despise that. What the fuck is the point of living in a country if you're not interested enough in the culture to even learn the fucking language? I say kick them all out. Hell, I'd be reluctant to even go to Japan for tourism, without knowing the language well enough to talk to people, because it's obnoxious AND it limits the experience to the point of not even being worth it.
Of course, PewDiePie gets a pass because he has money, and that's all governments care about. They want people with either money (the rich get exemptions from bureaucracy, travel restrictions and even fuel tax) or degrees and certificates, to prove that they are good slaves that do what they're told. Or to be 60 IQ barbarians that just cross the border anyway with no bureaucracy at all and will follow any orders.
It's the same everywhere in the world. The people that they don't want in, in any country, are people that cannot be proven to be in one of those easily-controlled technology. Even if they know the culture and the language, and sometimes even if they come from a family from that country.

"they bring out their inner monkey behavior and start harassing natives"
This is the kind of thing that makes me think that legalizing murder is a good idea. People from anywhere being obnoxious anywhere makes me think that, but people that go to other places in the world and behave like fucking chimps infuriates me even more, and it happens a lot in Asia. I know that there are plenty of places in Asia where people really hate westerners because of the way that tourists behave. They are making it harder for anyone else to go anywhere, and they turned the entire world into the fucking zoo that it is, with their retarded behavior.
To a degree, people in your own society being obnoxious is your problem, and it's your job to put them in their place and beat the shit out of them until they either learn how to behave or go to hell. Doing it in another culture, though, where people shouldn't have to deal with them at all, is especially bad. Especially when it's almost expected that tourists behave like shit. They feel like they can go to other places and shit them up because they feel like it's not their problem and like they paid for the right to be as subhuman as they want. Disgusting fucking apes. Dump them in the ocean and let the sharks deal with them.

I've followed PewDiePie for some time, until he moved into Japan. And him being rich didn't help. Legally, he is still considered a mid-income man. He owned property in Japan for 3 years and still wasn't able to go there. Because when he thought things were going in his way the pandemic happened.
He learned quite a bit of Japanese, sadly he struggled with it a lot. Complained with laughter how hard the language is.
His wife wasn't able to help him, because she is Italian and isn't very knowledgeable in Japanese.
What also didn't help is that he didn't have (I think) any friends, who were living in Japan. Only in South Korea.
