     @Dicer Taking life advice from hollywood isn’t the own they think it is. These people LOVE television, it’s such a colossal part of their lives that even today they turn it on and absentmindedly watch the vintage channel.

     I’ve seen these shows, they’re playing around the clock at old people’s homes. They aren’t as nice and traditional as we think of them today. Plenty of plotlines about how you shouldn’t ostracize the race mising single mother in town, refuse to go off to war, etc. It’s still programming

     @AnonymousBosch @Dicer I do think griffith is one of the better old shows, but it’s just depressing how these people will never, EVER let their deathgrip on television go. They just wanna exist in that fantasy bubble forever, a peaceful, clueless american life beset with stage I metastatic societal jewry. They just can’t conceive of existence without their precious tv box.

     @PanzerTan I’m sure. It’s way more pozzed than you’d think. Every time I catch some of it in waiting rooms or workplaces I’m surprised at how many nasty conservacon ideals they push. Lots of societal AIDS - many plotlines about not judging people, letting them colonize your home, etc.

     @Codeki @PanzerTan I remember one show had a plot about the traveling, violent, criminal ne’er do well in town visiting the new, hot teacher a lot. They hold a ‘trial’ at the school because they think she’s banging him and letting him deal drugs (maybe ‘drink’, since it’s code) and in the end the town has to apologize because he’s been going over to her house alone every day to spend hours inside because she’s tutoring him in how to read.

     See? THAT’s why you shouldn’t judge people’s antisocial, life-ruining behavior! You might be wrong 1 out of every 193 times!!!
